会社概要

We are striving to develop technologies for manufacturing and selling the cell products and providing customers with services in the field of cell therapies for regeneration of the damaged or disfunctioned human tissues or organs. Our company was established at Kobe in April 2002. Our laboratories are located at the heart of Kobe Medical Precinct and close to Riken, Center for Developmental Biology (Riken CDB). We have been developing the basic technologies necessary for realization of cell therapies through the collaborative researches with Riken and also through participation in the project called “Collaboration of Regional Entities for Advancement of Technological Excellence” (CREATE) funded by the Government of Japan. Our researchers are working by going back and forth among our own laboratories located within the facilities of the Translational Research Informatics Center, Business Support Center for Biomedical Research Activities ,Riken CDB with which we undertake the collaborative researches and the Institute for Biomedical Research and Innovation where we have our own cell processing center of the cGMP compliance, and can proceed with their researches in a specially favorable environment because they can utilize in most effective manner the infrastructures of Kobe Medical Precinct and enjoy various advantages through exchange of information among researchers who are working in those research facilities. The current targeted diseases of our research in the field of cell therapies are diabetes, myocardial infarct, cerebral infarct, muscular dystrophy, obstructive arteriosclerosis, etc. We in-licensed from University of Nice/CNRS a fundamental technology on novel human stem cell called the human multi-potent adipose-derived stem cell (hMADS cell) on an exclusive and global basis for therapeutic use in November 2005 and for research use in September 2006. We plan to start the clinical trials of the cell therapies using pancreatic βcells for diabetes and muscular dystrophy using hMADS cells soon.
